Do you know that the Great Kano gates was unbridgeable and withstood all the attacks from the colonial masters...they were able to penetrate only through the walls through the walls between the gates cause the city walls were so high and also had a pit with alligators very close to it making it impossible to climb.

Do you also know that the King at that time who travelled came back to see his city conquered and He was also banished... that's making Him the first King to be overthrown in Kano....And currently from the time Kano city was conquered till date we have had only three overthrown kings ...One by colonial masters the other by his brother and the lastly by the governor of the state....
