His response was to put in you a treasure – a superpower – that would make it difficult for them to ignore you. The irony of human relations is that when you are useful to people, they suppress their negative views of you and accord you due respect. Stop hoping that people will pity you. Tap into your superpower and find that instead of people despising you, they will begin to envy you.
