After months of work, we are close to finally launch the highly anticipated soon.market that will have a special focus on NFT auctions.
We’ve put a lot of thoughts in how to provide an autonomous way for creators and collectors to promote their NFT auctions on the front page and we’ve came up with the following solution that we aim to have ready immediately at launch of the market:
Meet the SOON SPOT NFTs!
We created the SOON SPOT — GOLD (unique) and the SOON SPOT — SILVER (unlimited) NFTs that owners can redeem for a spot on the front page of the market.
SOON SPOT — GOLD
This NFT is unique and has a special utility on soon.market — forever!
Its owner has the power to promote an auction of choice in the main spotlight on the front page of the market by redeeming it — whenever they want!
It is not burnable and as soon as the promoted auction ends this NFT will be auctioned again to find a new owner.
SOON SPOT — SILVER
This NFT has a potentially unlimited edition size but we will make sure only a reasonable amount will be in circulation.
It will be distributed in various ways: auctions, airdrops, competitions, …
The owner can use it to promote an auction of choice in the slider on the bottom of the front page by redeeming it.
On redemption the NFT will be burned.
BONUS Feature
While the GOLD NFT is being auctioned or while it is unused in the possession of a user, the next ending auction promoted via one of the SILVER NFTs moves into the main spotlight on the front page.
BONUS Utility
The owners of a SOON SPOT NFT can promote any auction! This utility is not limited to their own auctions. For example creators of a collection could use a SOON SPOT NFT in order to promote a secondary market auction of their creation in order to increase visibility.
How does it work?
The process to promote your NFT auction is easy as that:
- Get your SOON SPOT NFT (see next section)
- Launch your NFT auction or visit an existing auction that you want to feature
- Click on promote this auction which will only be visible if you own a SOON SPOT NFT
- if you own the GOLD and one or more SILVER NFTs you will be asked if you want to redeem the GOLD or a SILVER NFT
- sign the transaction in your Proton Wallet - Visit the front page of the market and see your promoted auction (may take a few seconds until it is visible)
- in the main spotlight (GOLD)
- in the slider on the bottom (SILVER)
How to get the SOON SPOT NFTs?
SOON SPOT — GOLD
There are only two ways to get this NFT:
- Win the auction (after redemption the same NFT will be auctioned again)
- Buy on secondary market from the current owner
SOON SPOT — SILVER
You will have lots of possibilities to collect one of these:
- Win one or multiple of the initial auctions in the beta launch phase which will be hosted using FOOBAR tokens.
- Get it via Airdrop. (to be announced, probably only few selected creators)
- Win one or multiple of our upcoming Twitter competitions — make sure to follow us!
- Buy it on secondary market!
- Win an auction after the beta launch phase. (auction frequency and conditions to be announced)
